What personal information we collect
We may collect personal information including:
- Your name, email address, phone number and postal address
- Information you provide through our contact form, a centre-hire booking, a membership or a donation
- Your date of birth, where you provide it as part of a membership
- Payment and billing details when you pay a hire fee, membership or donation
- Correspondence and records of your interactions with us
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device and pages visited, collected automatically when you use our website
We only collect information that is necessary for the purposes set out below.

We collect personal information directly from you when you contact us, fill in a form, make a booking, become a member or make a donation. We also collect some information automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you use our website (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

- Provide our services to you — events, centre hire and membership
- Process payments and manage our accounts

- Service providers who help us run the centre — for example website hosting, email, booking and calendar software, our mailing-list provider, and payment processors (such as Stripe)

Some of our service providers may store information overseas. Where personal information is disclosed to a party outside New Zealand, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is subject to comparable privacy safeguards, consistent with the Privacy Act.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help it function and to understand how visitors use it. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous statistics about site usage. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as well as a result.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law, after which we securely delete or de-identify it.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond as soon as reasonably practicable and within the timeframes required by the Privacy Act. There is generally no charge to access your information.
